Cabo and Beach Update May 27

I should be posting more, but hey, I am personally on the East Cape doing my weekly private beach fishing seminars.  I am not getting back to Cabo for 4 weeks, so posts are going to be far and few between.

Cabo has been good fishing. Roosterfish, snappers, sierra mackerel and jacks are abundant, as well as striped marlin.  On the striped marlin, tricky to get to eat, but plenty of fish... Some big roosters around, again tricky to get to eat, the medium sized fish are easier to fool.  Some big snappers around, there fish are super light tackle and fly fish, as they take lure and fly with gusto, and the bonus its a visual take as thy are on top of the water, only a foot or so down.. Sierra are one of my favorites, great sports fish, great tableware.  Love these fish, jacks are powerful, but the king is the rooster.  These exotic fish are addictive to catch.. Catch a nice one and its all you can think about for years..Any size will bring a huge smile to your face.
The east cape trips are going strong and plenty of fish, including some real pigs.  I won't post any more pictures, as the beach rats the come down in hordes since running down the man aren't doing so well (not as easy as they thought) and they are internet generation, so when I have posted in the past, they look at the photos to see the beach variations and locations, next thing you know, I have a ton of guys fishing next to me... No thanks.  I like to fish alone!  But we are catching roosters on consistent basis.

Thats all for now,
Grant

P.S. Some photos from Nazarios camera.  Look at those smiles, love it!

Grant,
What a trip. We fished with your guide,  and he was great. He worked hard and we caught various species of fish all on light tackle as promised. It was a blast. He asked that I send you some photos of some of the fish we caught. Anyway thanks again for a great trip.

Cesar Nava and Carson Carpenter having fun

Fly fishing for roosters

Now tell me this doesn't look like fun.  Tons of folks come down and fish with us for roosterfish, basically because we are the best!  Hands down.

ROOSTER TIME

Cabo is an amazing inshore fishery.  Roosters, jacks, sierras, snappers, amberjacks, sharks, & yellowtail are some of the fish that roam our waters, you just never know which one you will catch, roosters one cast, and yellowtail the next.

Fishing report May 1st

This the season to be Merry, Yep, its rooster season and we are starting to see some nice fish.  during May and June we get the big boys migrate into the Cabo area and its just too much fun to chase those boys on the fly or spin.

Right now, lots of action on Sierra mackerel, jacks and roosters with some BIG cuber snappers thrown in...

The marlin are back and boy are they here in numbers..  we are seeing lots of marlin in a days outing, but only getting a few to bite... The marlin are full of big squid, so finding the hungry one is the key...

I tell you, sand, sunshine, marlin, roosters, lots of inshore action,. ceviche, cold Pacifico, and just all around great place, there is no place like Cabo!

Okay, I am still getting calls form folks who are worried about the violence in Mexico.Well Its not here, and hasn't been.  Cabo is one of the safest places on the planet.  I live here 360 days a year for the last 17years, and I love it.  Great place to raise a family and enjoy life.. I recently took a guest out on a beach trip and everyone told him it was dangerous and to watch out for bandit, they thought he was off his rocker.  Anyway, after fishing all day with me traveling around to cool spots, he realized, that those of us that live here have known for ever, that its a big media scam, and thats it.  The media has to have you watch TV to pay the advertisers.  So its make up crap time and blow everything out of proportion, and scare the crap out of everyone so they can make a buck..I say, turn off the boob tube and go fishing, you will be happier for it!

I will post pictures later today
