Should have gone fishing today

Family day at the beach. I went surfing in good sized waves. One wave too many. Actually the spill wasn't too bad, but the board hit my face and split it open in a few places.

We'll its unpredictable.. Some great days, with slower days mixed in.. Not tide or moon related, maybe micro fluctuations in water temperatures? Anybody's guess right now, but is it worth fishing? You bet. yesterday, I was out and it was slow for the start of the day, then the fishing took off, you had to cast strip, and then you were on! It was so much fun! You can't catch fish at the dock or back at the hotel poolside...Its always a good day to go fishing... Now Slow for me, might be really good fishing for most people. I know I am spoiled, having the best fishing in the world right out my front door.. What a place to live.

I had a great time with Bob and his son Travis yesterday on the beach. Slow in the am, but after some fish tacos, the evening fish turned out just fine, as you can see for yourself.

Roosters Baby! They caught 16 roosters this day. Way to much fun!

I just have to say Baja Anglers is a great outfitter down in Cabo! Just got back from fishing with them and had the time of my life and finally got my Rooster fish off of my bucket list, actually we caught a ton of them! Fly fishing for Roosters might be one of the coolest fly fishing experiences you could ever have. We used top water poppers and some streamers and got a chance to see most all of the takes, and then hold on for the ride. Grant did a great job getting things set up and my Guide Arturo was top notch. He worked his butt off for me to make sure he put me on fish. I will be back to fish with these guys again. Thanks you Baja Anglers you did a great job for me and gave me one of the best fishing days I have ever had!!!!!
