Quick fishing report

Quick fishing report

Offshore fishing.

Striped marlin are finally back in town.  They migrated down with the cooler waters..  The water had been really warm until about a week ago..Everyday now the water will continue to cool down as it pushed down our way by the Humboldt current.  I expect it will be a banger marlin year, it will just be later than normal... Normally come any day in November and its the best marlin fishing in the world..

The dorado fishing has been so good over the last few months, sure there have been some slow days, but mostly plenty of nice big dorado on the fly and light tackle.

The tuna fishing has moved way offshore... If you got he distance, its no guarantee you will catch them.  If you finds the dolphin, chances are you will find the tuna...if not :)

The inshore fishing continues to be slow.. The warm water has kept the fish way north, like 200 miles plus...As the water cools down, the roosters and other inshore fish will start coming back down into our area and the fishing should take off with a bang..

So the outlook looks for really good fishing in December and January...

Tight Lines,
Grant

Marlin fever

Mi Bien Amigos-Brian Roberts and his girlfriend Martha Belmont went out for a half day and he caught his marlin on the fly and she caught hers on light tackle... Way to go guys, what a trip.. Only in Cabo and with Baja Anglers.

My Amigo, Jim Bickler and some very nice dorado on the fly.

Grant, had a great trip and thanks once again.
We caught a lot of big dorado! Had four hooked on the fly on at the same time and 3 on the fly simultaneously twice more!

Jen Post Loves Cabo and Baja Anglers

Hi Grant,
We went out fishing with Nasario this last Sunday and Monday. First, I just wanted to tell you and him Thank you for the great time! We have never been to Cabo before, and we just had an absolutely awesome time. We caught all kinds of fish and just loved it. In fact…we love it so much that we got a timeshare at the Grand Solmar, so we will definitely be back to fish in the next few months!

Striped Marlin on the fly!

Man, its been tough for striped marlin last few weeks,  warm water from Hurricane Paul has kept the fish north, but they are starting to come down..Mi Amigo, Don Sutton got this nice striped marlin on the fly today, as well as some dorado..The marlin came in really hot, and just engulfed the fly, classic tease and a great fight, the fish just went nuts and jumped way to many times to count... Good fishing, with a good friend, does it get any better.  I doubt it...Way to go Don, and yes, Chris keep eating your heart out...

Zac Grossman n a nice dorado

Is everyone bats around here?

Craziest thing. While we were trolling for marlin, this bat comes flying up and lands on the boat. He flies around us for about 10 minutes and alls we can think about is rabies. He finally gets the hint and flies off to the mainland. Crazy, 32 yrs and just after I thought I saw it all.

Jeff casting a surf rod

The perfect moment

Beautiful Baja morning

Man I love it here. Looking for roosters this early am. We got one small jack, and a few swirls, but no big fish yet.

The water is a bit warm still, once it cools down about 5 to 10 degrees the surf fishing will take off

Michel and a byte of a nice bull dorado

Triple dorado

Michel caught 3 big dorado on the fly. Pesky dorado won't leave us alone to fish for marlin. Had a wahoo take a livey teaser, glad he didn't take my sexy marlin fly. Saw two marlin, but didn't even look at the livey thrown their way. Michel wants marlin. Waters still a bit warm, needs to drop about 5 degrees.
